Sunflower Montessori’s founders Sam O’Dea and Helen Clarke joined Sam on the Breakfast Show this week as the school celebrated its twentieth year in operation.
The pair who were school friends and grew up together in Manchester before their Montessori journey brought them to Luxembourg via London, started the first Montessori School in Luxembourg on November 1st 2001. The 9 members of staff that day has since grown to 110 and a number of new facilities including a school in Brussels and, coming next Spring, a school in Belval, their first in the south of Luxembourg.
While Sunflowers continues to look to the future there remain strong ties to their past as a number of their original staff remain with them and some former students have returned, some to get work experience and others as parents bringing their own children.
With demand for places high, Sam & Helen advise anyone in Belval who is interested to book their places soon.
Congratulations to everyone at Sunflower Montessori on 20 years in Business from all of us at Ara City Radio.
