Despite Luxembourg’s multilingualism, many parts of society still lack representation in traditional media. For over three decades, Radio ARA has been giving diverse groups of society a platform to voice their opinions, to share their stories and become visible. Our shows reflect the diversity of Luxembourg society and we offer a public service to a large number of communities, broadcasting in many different languages and offering music diversity. We are working harder and producing more, with multi-lingual NEWS programmes, more multilingual shows and more independent journalism that reflects the lesser known stories and issues in Luxembourg.
Running a radio station costs money: technical equipment, admin staff, rent, etc. It is only thanks to the huge commitment by volunteers and donors that ARA can stay on air.
