It’s a good day for new music in Luxembourg as two of our favourite singer songwriters release new singles.
Josh Island presents Love Don’t Come Easy, the second single and title track from his forthcoming EP which is set to be released on May 7th. The song, which has been a part of his live set for some time now, took on a new life while recording in Portugal. Originally a soft acoustic song it’s now a funky, Prince inspired party tune and what Josh describes as the poppiest song from the EP.
Those who want to get their hands on the EP early and hear the whole thing live should book one of the limited seats available for his live release party at Op Der Schmelz on April 24th.
Also out today is Bartleby Delicate’s Plastic Flowers, a song that starts off dark and brooding but bursts in to life with a big beat and a fascinating soundscape that really rewards repeated listening. It might be his best work yet and comes ahead of an appearance at this year’s Great Escape Festival which you watch online by signing up here.
