Gender Equality: Naming streets after women

Only 2,6 percent of the streets in Luxembourg are named after women, whereas men are present in 17 percent of all street names. This situation, however, is already better than 13 years ago, when the National Women’s Council CNFL launched their project “Les Rues au féminin”. In our interview, Monique Stein, responsible for municipal politics at CNFL, in our interview on Local Matters explains how the project has evolved since 2009.
