Tom was joined on the Breakfast Show this morning by 2 rising stars in Luxembourg's growing touch rugby scene. Alessia Hancock and Albert York came on the show today to talk about their experiences playing at the Junior European Championships in Vichy.
Luxembourg joined up with Belgium for the tournament with Alessia playing for the Mixed under 15s. She played in every match and came up against the likes of England(winners), France, Ireland and even beat Wales twice. Albert played in the Mixed under 18s team against France (winners), England and Wales and scored a try against France.
Touch Rugby is a growing sport in Luxembourg and a good alternative to rugby enthusiasts that prefer a more agile and less physical game to standard rugby.
RCL have junior touch training sessions for girls and boys aged 8-16yrs every Saturday at Cessange and a tuesday night at 7.30 for adults
