Airports all over europe have been hit by huge shortages of staff, long waiting lines, delays and cancellations. As the amount of travellers continues to increase towards pre-pandemic levels, the number of staff that were let go or moved into other industries when planes were grounded during the lockdowns, have not returned at the same rate. With the industry struggling to recruit at the necessary pace to cope with increasing demand, the problems that we're seeing in airports at the moment could probably be set to continue for quite some time.
