The Moon Is Full, But It Is Not The Moon is a multimedia art exhibition taking place at Rotondes that brings together the work of 5 artists and involves an Artificial Intelligence program called The Collective Dreamworld Project. Tom was joined on the Breakfast Show This morning by participating artists Gioj De Marco, Agnese Toniutti and Andrej Mirčev to discuss what the creation of the exhibition and what it has in store for visitors.
For six months Gioj De Marco, Loris D’Acunto, Agnese Toniutti, Karolina Pernar and Andrej Mirčev recorded their dreams in collaboration with The Collective Dreamworld Project, an online dream-weaving experiment that uses an AI language prediction model. A sensorial collage emerged, and was recreated by the artists in a series of atmospheric chambers where sculptural forms, video projections, soundscapes, musical compositions, and staged performances take turns appearing and disappearing. Moving through the space as if in a dream, visitors will explore the connections between science, the arts and deep learning.
The exhibition opens tomorrow night 30th June and runs until the 28th of August.
