Jacqui Spence and Darren Robinson from the British Luxembourg Society joined Tom on the Breakfast Show to talk about the organization and their upcoming events.
The British-Luxembourg-Society ASBL was founded in 1947 to foster good relations between Britain and Luxembourg. Among its activities since then has been hosting an annual Sir Winston Churchill Memorial Lecture with speakers including Margaret Thatcher (when in office), Neil Kinnock, Chris Patton, George Robertson, and Lord Hurd.
Further to this, the society offer an educational program of lessons in English Language, Literature, Luxembourgish and painting. membership is free for students and costs €30 for indiviuals or €20 each for couples that join together.
