Around midday today the UK will know whether Liz truss or Rishi Sunak will be their next Prime Minister, with Truss forecast as the favorite to win in all the polls.

If she is elected, Truss is arriving to office at a turbulent time. With the UK facing a severe cost of living crisis and international relations facing problems surrounding Brexit, the Ukrainian War and the UK's relationship with China. Add to this the fact that Truss didn't hold a majority with MPs in the initial voting phases of the leadership race and it could be a challenging time for the new PM as they enter office.
