From Friday to Sunday, March 17 to 19, 2023, the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg (FJSL) will hold its 52nd National Jonk Fuerscher Contest at the Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen, accessible live via different online platforms.
The National Jonk Fuerscher awards recognize outstanding projects by young scientists aged between 11 and 21. The Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg has organized the contest since 1971. It is supported by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, the FNR, and the European Commissionas well as numerous sponsors. The awards cover various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, social sciences, and humanities.
Edouard Olszewski and Alexander Lebedev joined Lisa in the studio to talk about the upcoming weekend and specifically Alexander’s project.
This weekend Luxembourg’s young scientists will present their projects at the Forum on stage and in front of an expert jury. Furthermore, the audience can tune in live, as the presentations will be live-streamed on various online platforms, science.lu, and the social media channels of the Luxembourg Science Center, thus accessible internationally to anybody with a computer, tablet or smartphone and a stable internet connection.
On Sunday, March 19, from 13:00 to 16:00, the public is invited on-site to the Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen to discover the projects and exchange with the young scientists.
Entrance is free of charge and the underground parking of the Forum will be accessible for visitors.
