Unicef is a charity that provides support for children in need around the world. Today Paul Heber from Unicef Luxembourg joined Tom in the studio to talk about the organization's activities in Poland where they are supporting newly arrived refugees who have fled the conflict in Ukraine.
Paul Heber is head of communication for Unicef Luxembourg. He recently returned from a trip to Poland where he saw first hand the work that Unicef is doing to help children that have feld the war in Ukraine. These young people have often been traumatised by witnessing the horrors of war. Their lives have been disrupted as they have been forced to leave their homes to find safety. Unicef works to provide aid to them in the form of psychological support, housig aid, care packages and access to education.
