Nearly 1.000 times, the police intervened in cases of domestic violence in Luxembourg last year. Sometimes the victim calls the police, often the neighbors or other witnesses make the call. In our interview today, we talk about a more subtle form of violence. Violence doesn’t have to be physical. Perpetrators of psychological violence systematically exert power over their partner – or their children – by running them down and degrading them. For our interview on Local Matters today, I welcome Pascale Zaourou on the microphone, the president of the Clae Associations Platform and a writer. A few months ago, Pascale published her second book, a collection of poems about psychological domestic violence, illustrated by her daughter Ange.
