Benjamin Schäfer and Mikel Braaten joined Simon on the Breakfast Show this morning to talk about the Philharmonie Luxembourg’s amateur orchestra.

The orchestra consists of approximately 100 amateur musicians aged 18 and up, who have all completed an audition process and attend a weekly rehearsal schedule.

The amateurs are all practising in advance of this year’s concert on Saturday, 17 June 2023.
This year's concert programme features Dmitri Chostakovitch’s Suite pour orchestre de variété,
Wolfgang A. Mozart’s Flötenkonzert N° 1 KV 313 and Modeste Moussorgski: Tableaux d'une exposition.
