Climate activists are all over the news in Europe. In Germany, the collective called “Letzte Generation” (Last Generation) attaches their bodyparts to the streets with high-performance glue to disrupt traffic. In France, collectives occupy land in order to save it from destruction. In the whole world, people raise their voices for climate and chose more and more disruptive means.
In Luxembourg meanwhile, long periods of drought and heat have made the nature suffer - without anyone disrupting the functioning of society. Local Matters this week focuses on climate change and climate activism. We start this series with a look into nature. Claudine Feltgen from the Asbl natur&emwelt explains where we can already see the traces of drought and heat in nature.
