Hannah Boughton spent two decades teaching in international schools, shaping young minds and gaining diverse experiences. But the toll of teaching led her to pursue a new passion—technology. Transitioning to educational tech, she worked with a Silicon Valley startup, tackling male-dominated environments and learning the nuances of profit-driven businesses.
Now based in Luxembourg, Hannah’s role at an educational app developer allows her to blend her teaching expertise with data science, developing tools that enhance early math education. She values her current company’s collaborative culture and focus on creating meaningful products over profit. In Hannah’s eyes, it does make a difference to work under female leadership.
Her story highlights resilience, adaptability, and the power of networking for women in the male-dominated STEM careers.
