It’s been a good week for musical releases in the Grand Duchy with two of Ara City Radio’s favourites, Francis Of Delirium and The Ferocious Few, both releasing new tunes.
Red is the latest offering from FOD’s forthcoming Wading Ep which is set to be released on April 9th.
“Red is the pushing away of someone and justifying it with your anger rather than rationally discussing your feelings. It’s believing something you thought to be true and then that being switched. It’s the loss of trust in a relationship,” said Jana Bahrich the front woman, singer, and songwriter of the band and also top DJ at Ara City Radio, (Thursdays from 10am).
Sure she’s our friend but we’re really just hanging on and hoping for a bit of reflected glory because Red is just the most recent of a string of brilliant singles. Check out the video above, and watch this space because the sky’s the limit for Francis Of Delirium.
The second single released this week that we want to highlight comes from The Ferocious Few. The few, are really, one, but what a one he is. Francisco Fernandez relocated to Luxembourg from San Fransisco just as the pandemic began so he’s a relative newcomer to the local music scene but with an intimate ACR studio gig under his belt already he’s starting to make himself known.
"My Love" is not a new song but a song that's been performed live as a favourite over many years, evolving from an angry song to a song about positive desires. The lyrics, about the longing to be with friends and family again, make even more sense now, in an age in which many of us have experienced forced separation from those we care about.
This is the case for Francisco who's been in Europe the whole time of the pandemic, watching his home country in turmoil. The track was recorded with producer Tom Gatti in Luxembourg.
As Fernandez says: "We made this song in hopes to give people something to look forward to"
The single is out now and can heard below, with a live album coming soon.
