The joy of contemporary dance in a multi-lingual environment such as Luxembourg is amazing. To be able to relax into the music and the ebb and flow of the dancers movements is perhaps one of the most relaxing experiences; it feels as if a tired part of your brain that switches back and forth between different languages is laid to rest and a completely different part of the brain takes over.. If you haven’t been to a contemporary dance performance, try it…you may just love it…and TROIS C-L - Centre de Création
Chorégraphique Luxembourgeois, at Banannefabrik have a new project you could take a chance on…
The Hors Circuits program is slightly different in that it aims to offer visibility to a number of projects that have few or no partners in Luxembourg and to present projects outside the organization’s normal framework.
Identities by Anne Mareike Hess
In creating Identities, choreographer Hess explores how specific movements affects and transforms a person's body and identity. She explores to what extent and through what means codified movements are used to create, express identity, and signify belonging to a certain group. Research took the form of conversations with people from all walks of life and the choreographer collected postures and gestures in order to explore how they resonate in her.

LA MARCHE NÉBULEUSE — IN CØRPUS
Anaïs Rouch’s choreography for La marche nébuleuse -In Cørpus observes reality through the abstraction of movement by placing five female performers at the heart of the stage. Without pursuing any goal other than the simple development of their intimate powers, the dancers are linked by the same temporal attraction. Little by little, walking invents an indissoluble link with time. It is in the measure of their steps and within a common and repetitive pulse that bodies share this same desire to escape terrestrial gravity. While letting an imagination flourish that oscillates between absurdity and poetry, the choreography attempts to give meaning to the ephemeral, at the same time discreetly drawing the audience towards the pressing questions of our time.
Design: Anaïs Rouch | With the performers: Roxane Ouazana, Alessia Pinto, Marion Jousseaume and Laura Morin | Musical composition: Stéphane Comon | Lighting designer: Emmanuelle Staüble | Costumes: Lucie Duranteau
THE BLIND NARCISSIST
Choreographer Saeed Hani offers a short documentary around his latest play The Blind Narcissist. The play tells the self-defeating love story of a young man with a narcissist. In this relationship, where his partner directs all of his passion only towards himself, there is an imbalance that inevitably leads to a ruthless struggle. Saeed Hani's works not only incorporate contemporary dance: they also include elements from the fields of visual art, artistic nude and spatial art in order to arrive at a unique interdisciplinary performance.
Choreographer: Saeed Hani | Performers: Robin Rohrmann & Gabriel Lawton | Video short film by: Lukas Blumann | Scenography: Alexander Harry Morrison | Team: Inessa Babkovich & Keti Tskhadadze | Stylist: Naddy Führinger | Music: Jakob Schum | Production: menschMITmensch e.V. in cooperation with Hani Dance Company

00 METERS PER SECOND - COGNITIVE OVERLOAD
☞ Premiere in Luxembourg
How to make the process of creating a choreographic and musical work perceptible? It is the questioning that is at the heart of the 100 meters per second performance. Throughout this 5-hour performance, the performers learn, compose and perform simultaneously. Systems involving chance and different conceptions of space and time are the supports for the composition of choreographic and sound materials. Step by step, these systems are revealed, movements and sounds accumulate and come to interact in the playing space-time. The public is invited to come and go as they please in the space, observe the action in unfolding or consult the various documentary sources made available to them, giving an account of the process at work since the start of the performance.
Design and interpretation: Cognitive Overload | Dance: Lucas Bassereau, Constance Diard | Music: Luis Homedes Lopez | Cognitive Overload is artistically and administratively supported by Le Laboratoire Chorégraphique De Reims | Support: Le Laboratoire Chorégraphique, Le Lieu, National Center for Contemporary Dance, TROIS C-L - Center de Création Chorégraphique Luxembourgeois
