The 5th edition of Seeds for the Future in Luxembourg in partnership with Luxembourg University, Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg and with the support of Jonk Entrepreneuren will be held from 19 to 26 July, online and Applications are now open to Luxembourg students until July 12th.
Seeds for the Future is Huawei’s flagship CSR educational programme aimed at students with a strong interest in ICT. This initiative was launched by Huawei in 2008 and in Luxembourg in 2017.
The programme is an immersive tech experience revolving around technology and culture and is structured around 4 pillars:
1. Technology (Entry level and advanced courses in 5G, AI, Cloud, IoT, data, Smart City, Smart homes…) delivered through online courses and live lectures (with Huawei experts and guest speakers)
2. Leadership & Career Development (Sustainability and Business Leadership, Strategic Leadership, Stories from China Silicon Valley)
3. Trending topics (Cyber security, China social media, Aerospace Industry, Data)
4. Traditional and Modern China (Live and interactive visit to the Great Wall and other sites, high tech companies visits to learn about China's technology development)
Students will learn about cutting-edge technologies and get a more in-depth understanding of innovation needs in local markets, enabling them to better adapt to the ICT industry.
The programme will be 8 days long, up from 5 last year and this year, they have added the Tech4Good Group Project to the curriculum. In addition to classes, small work groups are organised to encourage multi-cultural learning environment, to foster creativity and innovation and to trigger discussions on how to leverage technology to address social and/or environmental issues.
Students are also encouraged to join the LinkedIn alumni community to be part of a network of international students and teachers from around the world, where they can keep the conversation going, and be invited to exclusive events (e.g. webinars).
