Every week one of the journalists from Delano stops past the studio to chat about the big topic of the week.
This week Duncan Roberts spoke to Tom about the hot topic of mandatory vaccinations and how the government have stealthily floated this topic in the media in the past weeks, and are now pushing the question to the public to decide.
There is also the issue of the 15th of January, when companies and organisations have to be ready to implement a daily 3G (vaccinated, recovered, or negative tested) regime in the workplace. But what does this mean for individuals, and who pays?. Delano spoke to union representatives about the implications of this, and while in favour, they insist that companies or the government should carry the cost of testing.
There is also increasing concern amongst the public about the covid restriction protests that continue to take place in Luxembourg, and increasing scepticism about the government’s handling of protestors, with many claiming that the protests are being hijacked with people from outside Luxembourg. There has also been increased abuse towards police and passersby, as well as journalists reporting on the events.
In terms of events this week, Duncan suggested three special ones and we have linked to the events below:
Does Capitalism have a Future lecture at Mudam
11 must see movies at Cinémathèque
and finally,
Below is the track from Cold Water Swimmers that Duncan suggested
