This year’s film festival runs from 3 to 13 March, Gloria Morano is the curator of the the Luxembourg City Film Festival’s young audience programme 2022. Gloria stopped past the studio to tell us more.
For children aged three and over there are films Cloudy and Enchanted Gardens. One features a gnome, a polar bear or an Arctic hare who explore friendship. Young audiences can also discover a world full of secrets in Enchanted Gardens. Pingu, the famous intrepid penguin is also on the programme.
The Crazy Cinématographe for Kids is agreat for kids over five with the theme of colour as its common thread. There is also a programme of short films such as Grandir, c’est chouette! which deals with the question of self-assertion, La Princesse aux grandes jambes and Maman pleut des cordes.
For teenagers there are a variety of films on offer and LuxFilmFest also features two local co-productions Himbereen mit Senf by Ruth Olshan and produced by Amour Fou, and Where is Anne Frank, directed by Ari Folman and produced by Samsa Film.
LuxFilmFest is also hosting a number of workshops and master classes for young people to discover cinema. There is also an opportunity for young film lovers to join the juries that award various prizes.
