This week Cordula Schnuer was in for the Delano Top of The Week to discuss the upcoming vote which will happen in Parliament concerning the reformations to Luxembourg's constitution.
The vote is the next stage in a long process concerning the changes to the constitution that have been in progress for over a decade.
On the 25th of January Parliament will be voting on issues such as the separation of Power in Luxembourg's government and the definition of Luxembourg's national symbols.
As is the case with any changes to the constitution, Luxembourg's residents will have the right to request that a referendum be held on whatever changes are voted through on the 25th. But the likelihood of this happening is quite low due to the fact that such a large amount of signatures are required to force a referendum and the fact that this vote is concerning only one of four chapters of the reformations, meaning that a referendum petition would be required after every parliamentary vote.
Cordula's three picks for upcoming events this week in Luxembourg include:
26 January: Japanese cinema screening - delano.lu/event/2022-01-26-ain…nosir-film-screening
