Our guests on the Breakfast Show today were Edwin and Jussi from luxembourgish band Lumi who came on the show to share the new music that they've been working on.
Lumi formed in 2008 after the band members met in school and started making music together. Their 2009 album Cycles was well received in Luxembourg and saw them charting in the Eldoradio top 40 and playing shows around the country inlcuding at the Rockhal, Exit 07 and Dqliq and at Fete De la Musique.
After a lengthy break from making music together whilst the band members attended university and lived in other parts of the world, Lumi recently reformed and have started working on new material. Today on the show listeners got an exclusive first listen of their new tracks 'Mountains and Moons' and 'Everything Could Have Been'.
The new tracks were recorded at Bonus Noise Studios, a recording studio and record label that is run by Edwin. The studio, which is located in Cents and run with a collective spirit, is open to local acts that want to record and release their music. For more information head to https://bonusnoise.com
In the last half hour of the show Jussi and Ed ran us through music by some of their favourite Luxembourgish artists including Miaow Miaow, Charlotte Bridge, Bartleby Delicate, Cristobal And The Sea, Jackie Moontan and Faux Real
