Tom caught up with Lice over zoom from their tour bus as they embark on their debut European headline tour. The interview aired this morning on the Breakfast show ahead of their gig tonight at De Gudde Wellen in Luxembourg City.
Lice released their debut album 'Wasteland: What Ails Our People is Clear' at the beginning of last year. It's a densely engaging record, the result of two years worth of writing and experimenting with ideas recorded over the course of two weeks in Leeds.
After having to wait for the chance to perform the album due to coronavirus closures, Lice are full of energy and eager to take the record on the road in Europe. Luxembourg is somewhat special in Lice's memory as they played their first ever performance outside of the UK at the Rotondes a few years ago.
Listen to our interview to hear about the band's beginnings in Bristol's thriving music scene, their favourite emerging artists in the UK right now and what to expect from their concert tonight at De Gudde Wellen.
