From the 22nd till the 30th of July, Cinémathèque in collaboration with Ville De Luxembourg will be hosting a series of outdoor film screenings in the beautiful setting of the Forecourt of the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City. Catherine Krettels from Cinémathèque joined Tom on the show today to talk about what to expect.
After two years of hosting the annual outdoor film festival in the glacis due to the corona virus, City Open Air Cinema returns this year to the beautiful setting of the Grand Ducal Palace in the City Centre, for 9 days attendees will be able to enjoy a great programme of films as night falls.
The screenings are free to attend and will have seating for up to 500 people that will be available on a first come first served basis while refreshments and snacks will be available from the surrounding bars will.
Highlights of the festival include screenings of Breakfast at Tiffany's, Les Vacances de Monsieur Hublot, A Fistful of Dollars and Steven Spielberg's West Side Story.
