Kids Life Skills run workshops for children aged 4-13 in teaching the essential skills of modern technology including logical thinking, problem solving, creativity, team work and entrepreneurship. This morning Ronen Evan Tzur, founder of Kids Life Skills joined Tom on The Breakfast Show to talk about the organization and what they have coming up.
Kids Life Skills was started by Ronen when he realised there was a lack of educational offerings in technology in Luxembourg for children of a young age. What started as some informal playful lessons with his own children and children of friends developed into a professional organization when Ronen was inspired by his daughter's reactions to the lessons.
At Kids Life Skills, children learn to work with technology through fun and interactive learning games, being encouraged to use their creativity to solve problems. Workshops last 2-3 hours depending on age groups, take place on a weekly basis and are taught in English and French. Workshops generally cost €12.50 per hour however Kids Life Skills is supported by a number of sponsoring organisations and so they are able to offer subsidized tuition to children from low income families.
In the coming months Kids Life Skills will widen the scope of their workshops offering courses in video editing, game development, coding, robotics and healthy habits.
