On Local Matters this week, we talk about masculinity and the implications of masculine norms for mental health and for society. Our guest for today’s interview today Daniela Cabete, psychologist for the service Riicht Eraus by the Red Cross. Daniela Cabete works to prevent men from using violence against their family members.
Violence as a means of communication is used when words are not available. To foster a better access to emotions, and a better understanding between couples, the different genders and society in general, Daniela calls for a rethinking of boys' education.
If you have been or might become violent, don’t hesitate to seek help with the service Riicht eraus on their website, via e-mail riichteraus@croix-rouge.lu, or phone 2755-5800.
