Todays guest on the breakfast show was Pit van rijswijck, a Luxembourgish citizen who recently came 2nd in the world marathon challenge. Pit ran 7 marathons in 7 days in 7 continents and in the process raised over €100,000 for cancer research.

Pit spent two years training for the challenge, coaching himself to be able to run long distances in all weather conditions and without much sleep, getting up in the middle of the night to run successive marathons whilst still going to work during the day.

He undertook the challenge in memory of his late father who had been his running companion and who passed away from brain cancer in 2020.

The challenge saw pit running in Antarctica, South Africa, Australia, Dubai, Madrid, Brazil and the USA - a total of 295.4 km. What an achievement.
