International Women's Day takes place this week on the 8th of March and Cordula from Delano joined Tom in the studio this morning to talk about what will be going on in Luxembourg to mark the occasion.
Like every year, the International Women’s Day platform--called JIF for Journée Internationale des Femmes--is organising a march through the capital on 8 March. The march will gather at 5pm at Hamilius and from there will walk through the city to end up at Place d’Armes. Several associations are supporting the event but everyone is welcome to join, women and those supporting women’s rights.
Also happening this week, The University of Luxembourg, for example, is hosting a roundtable discussion on gender bias in medicine. The British Chamber of Commerce as well as the American Chamber of Commerce are hosting events dedicated to women in business. Women in Digital Empowerment is hosting a networking event. Lux Wmn is organising a market for female designers and creators. The RCL rugby club is also hosting a ladies’ day on Sunday.
