Siren's Call festival takes place this year on the 24th of June. The multidisciplinary and multivenue festival which takes place in the beautiful setting of the Clausen valley is always a highlight of Luxembourg's Summer live music schedule. Festival programmer Michel Welter joined Tom on the show this morning to talk about what the festival has in store.
After the announcement in December that Phoenix would be headlining, Den Atelier recently announced the rest of the festival's line up which focuses on bringing the best in up and coming talent next to legendary headliners to the grand duchy. Highlights this year include the likes of Dublin punk rockers Sprints, Up and coming Belgian shoegaze pop band The Haunted Youth, the sensational all female youth ensemble from Benin, Star Feminine Band and newly formed project of local hero Bartelby Delicate Englbrt.
Further up on the bill, which features a primarily female representation, are the one-woman sensation, Billy No Mates and New York indie pop rockers of the moment, Japanese Breakfast.
Listen through our chat to familiarise yourself with this wonderful line up that is topped off of course by the headliners Phoenix.
