Cordula joined Simon on the Breakfast Show for Delano’s Top of the Week and the topic was… the Emaischen.
The Emaischen is a pottery market traditionally hosted on Easter Monday. The oldest written records show that this market was celebrated already in 1827 but there is evidence indicating that it dates even further back.
The Emaischen is the place to buy a Péckvillchen, a small bird-shaped whistle made from clay. Traditionally exchanged between lovers, they are now more widely shared as gifts.
Other events discussed included:
Brighton-based indie outfit Egyptian Blue playing at Rotondes on 6 April, a couple of new exhibitions at Mudam and, not so much an event, but now is a good time to see the daffodils in Lellingen, near Wiltz.
