For parents in Luxembourg, finding a café that welcomes children can be a challenge. Cécile Devroye, mother and entrepreneur, decided to address this issue by creating a family-friendly certification label. Her initiative has already certified over a dozen cafés and restaurants, helping families identify spaces that cater to their needs.
The label, symbolized by three clouds, evaluates establishments based on food options, activities for children, and baby-friendly equipment. Cécile, who struggled to find welcoming places herself, says many parents share her frustration. “Parents want to have this cozy moment with their kids,” she explains.
Florence Café in the Gare area is one of the certified spots. Jennifer, responsible for the daily business, emphasizes the importance of creating a welcoming environment for families. The café even hosts events like "Decaf and Diapers," a gathering for new mothers to connect in a relaxed setting. The next session is scheduled for this afternoon at 2 PM.
Cécile’s initiative highlights the growing demand for inclusive spaces in Luxembourg. For parents, these certified cafés provide more than a meal—they offer a moment of connection and ease in an otherwise busy day.
