How’s that for a fresh start? Almost half of the EU has a new number one song this week. And if past experience is anything to go by, the next couple of weeks will see a rise in Beyoncé-related content. The r’n’b megastar just took over as the Irish number one track. And she will probably took over more charts in the next few days.
But Beyoncé aside, there are other momentous changes afoot as well. Antonis Remos took over as the Cypriot number one track, ending months of undisputed rule by Nikos Onikonomopulos. Similarly, Pierre Garnier replaced Jungeli at the top of the French chart. Most importantly, however, Francis of Delirium was last week’s Track of the Week on Ara City Radio.
Further down the totem pole are new number ones in Czech Republic, Denmark and Estonia, as well as Germany, Greece and Portugal, to name but a few.
Top of the EU Pops features on Ara City Radio every Monday at 11 am. In case you missed it, here’s this week’s playlist. Give it a spin and share it with friends!
