On the latest PwC People Pulse radio segment, Lucie Mauran and Paul Prodyut shared their perspectives on onboarding at PwC Luxembourg, describing it as a strategic journey rather than a one-off event.
Lucie explained that onboarding unfolds in three phases: Preboarding, which begins as soon as an offer is accepted and builds excitement; the welcome experience, a one-day immersive session blending human connection and smart tech; and integration and learning, which covers the first 90 days with training, check-ins, and role-specific support. For her, onboarding is about creating confidence, connection, and culture—helping new joiners feel they’ve made the right choice.
Paul compared his experience at PwC to other companies, highlighting the structured, people-oriented approach. He valued the inclusiveness of the “Welcome Day”, which introduced him not only to HR and managers but also to peers, helping him feel part of a community from the start. Beyond the formal programme, he noted how his buddy and team eased his integration, giving him clarity on tools, processes, and collaboration.
Both emphasised why onboarding is a strategic priority: it accelerates integration, transmits PwC’s culture, and fosters belonging. Challenges remain, like balancing generational expectations, multicultural diversity, and hybrid work, but PwC’s tailored, human-centric onboarding helps transform these into strengths.
