Radio ARA is an independent radio station, produced by professionals, volunteers and associations. We offer a public service to a large number of communities, broadcasting in many different languages and offering music diversity. Running a radio station costs money: technical equipment, admin staff, rent, etc. Digital advertising and the pandemic hit us hard, but with over 120 active volunteers making community, youth and music shows, Radio ARA is here to stay. We support over twelve different community shows in different languages, each meeting the needs of the marginal communities they represent.
To secure Radio ARA, its independence and its integrity as a community radio, we turn to you.

Why Radio ARA still needs your support
Over the past years Radio ARA has successfully lobbied the government for financial support to cover some of our base costs to keep our radio station running. In 2021, we were successful and signed a five year agreement that gives us some basic support. However, for extras such as equipment and other essentials we rely on our listeners for support. This year our crowdfunding efforts turn towards financing the move to Rotondes 2 in a few years time.
