Digital inclusion: access to information technology
"Digital Inclusion" is dedicated to bridging the digital divide in Luxembourg by offering a welcoming public space with free WIFI and a variety of tailored training programs. Open to everyone, their services include individual sessions, group workshops, courses specifically for women, and custom programs to meet specific needs, along with consultation sessions to help citizens navigate digital tools confidently. Additionally, "Digital Inclusion" refurbishes computers and smartphones in its workshop, donating these devices to individuals in need and to other social-focused non-profits, expanding technology access across the community.

Repair Café: Let's repair rather than throw away
Repair Café is a place to meet and exchange. But, yes, is a place where your loved things can get fixed. Volunteer repairers are available to assist you with fixing a variety of items: small to medium household appliances, clothing, bicycles, toys, dishes, small furniture, and more. Anything that’s broken is welcome and could have the opportunity for a second life.

There is always a need for spaces to connect, to integrate, and to feel welcomed. Ôpen Maison Citoyenne is one of that place of conviviality, solidarity, creativity, and emancipation with a view to a fairer, more resilient, and more environmentally friendly society and economy. They provide workshops for parents or teenagers, beer brewing, plantations in their greenhouse, food sharing, and exhibitions. D'Bréck : the bridge between locals and expats
D'Bréck translates like “The bridge” from Luxembourgish, an association that defends and promotes multilingualism. We met with its founder, Athanase Popov, who expresses a strong opinion on language policy in Luxembourg. Although it is a small country, to decode it remains difficult. In his opinion the key it to organize activities both for ex-pats and Luxembourgish where they can get united.

Access to Rights
Passerelle is a non-profit Luxembourgish association recognized as being of public utility since September 2023, active in the defense and exercise of fundamental rights for vulnerable people in Luxembourg. Marion specifically joined this association from France. Working with homeless people and individuals in vulnerable situations has always been her interest. The majority of their work involves assisting vulnerable migrants and refugees. Learn more about their results in our interview.
Romanian Parents Association
Legal professional in Luxembourg but highly engaged in social and educational endeavors. Elena’s goal was to introduce Romanian traditions and culture to Luxembourg and ensure that children do not forget the Romanian language. The services of their weekend Romanian school are dedicated to children as young as three years old. They were eager to create a space for kids who speak the same language to learn about the origins of the country and build a community around it. "In November 2015, a group of 9 Luxembourgish volunteers joined a relief convoy to the Balkans to actively help people escaping from their home countries. Afterward, the motivation was even greater to continue, fueled by further demands from others wanting to help as well. The Vegan Society promotes the development of veganism in Luxembourg and Europe by educating about the benefits of veganism on animal rights, climate change, and our health. Barbara UJLAKI fell in love with the vegan lifestyle even during her time in Tokyo, then joined the VSL to promote veganism and reduce animal suffering.
