Empowering the Iranian Diaspora

The Iranian Diaspora is advocating for the Iranian community residing in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Their initiative aims to promote human rights, justice, and solidarity within and beyond the Iranian diaspora. The organization raises awareness about current events affecting Iranians worldwide, acting as a vital intercultural integrator. It seeks to encourage volunteerism and serve as a powerful voice for those who are voiceless, marginalized, and in need. Shabnam shared with us their mission and events in Luxembourg.

Inese Gadiga from And Be You thinks that music affects the way we perceive things around us and influences human behaviour. Music can heighten negative or positive emotions in people. And that moving the body gives the mood boost. This is just one of the ideas of And Be You asbl. They unite people with different talents offering classes of Rhythmic Gymnastics, Dance, and even theatre.

Access to Rights

Passerelle is a non-profit Luxembourgish association recognized as being of public utility since September 2023, active in the defense and exercise of fundamental rights for vulnerable people in Luxembourg. Marion specifically joined this association from France. Working with homeless people and individuals in vulnerable situations has always been her interest. The majority of their work involves assisting vulnerable migrants and refugees. Learn more about their results in our interview.

The Malagasy Women Empowerment Association aims to fight for the improvement of the conditions and representations of Malagasy women in society. The diaspora of Malagasy women who work in Luxembourg, sponsored by their employers, are content with their living conditions here. However, they lack sufficient guidance, which is why they work each year to promote their mission: empowering women from Madagascar, both locally and abroad, to face their challenges more effectively, especially in highly developed countries.

We Belong Europe aims to foster inclusivity in society by promoting discussions led by minorities. They hope to encourage leaders in re-thinking and re-shaping solutions regarding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) issues.

Casting Lux is that nonprofit platform that gives actors, dancers, voiceovers, or simple amateurs a chance to be in the spotlight. Their goal is to improve the quality of castings in the entertainment industry in Luxembourg while making it easier to connect everyday people, upcoming talents & current professionals with Luxembourg's thriving movie, TV, event & creative industries.

The tie between Romania and Luxembourg

ROMLUX is a Luxembourg-based nonprofit, that pioneers economic ties between Romania and Luxembourg. This time we spoke to Razvan, who revealed the start of the Romania Luxemburg Business Forum Asbl. The association aims to exchange, foster mutual assistance, and share economic experiences. They also build cultural bonds intensified for a harmonious Romania-Luxembourg connection.
