Integration Through Culture & Conversation
Mir wëllen iech Ons Heemecht weisen (we want to show you our heritage) is a Luxembourgish grassroots NGO that fosters intercultural dialogue between local residents and refugees. They aim to create informal moments of exchange through intercultural events and workshops for refugees to get to know locals and vice versa.
Patricia Abdelnour joined Sam on the Breakfast show this morning to discuss their work and to put a call out for volunteers.
With a guided tour of the the Mudam and in particular the current exhibition of work by South African artist William Kentridge planned for tomorrow night, the organisation are looking for Luxembourg residents to come, enjoy the tour and engage in conversation with some of the refugees who have already signed up and are looking forward to meeting new people experiencing and discussing some art.
Sign up through their website and if you can’t make it tomorrow night then check out their full schedule of upcoming events in the image above.
