Women’s sports events are less attractive because the level is lower. This is an often-used argument to justify female athletes earning less and getting less attention. The argument however, lacks context. Men don’t play better because they are men. They compete on a higher level better because they receive loads of support.

Under The Covers - Interview With Janet Alldis about Barry Alldis and Radio Luxembourg
Radio Luxembourg was a pioneering and hugely popular radio station that broadcasted to millions of people around Europe, on 208 Medium wave, from right here in Luxembourg, from 1933 until 1992. One of the famous DJs on the station in the 1950s-70s was Barry Alldis and today Tom was joined on the Breakfast Show by his daughter Janet Alldis who has recently released a song in tribute to her father.
